Tides at Seaboard Point

MTA provided geotechnical consultation for the Tides at Seaboard Point luxury waterfront development under construction by K. Hovnanian Homes in North Wildwood, New Jersey. The development is constructed on a former landfill. The buildings are supported by a deep pile foundation system extending beneath the landfill into the underlying supporting soils. Our services included supplemental geotechnical investigations, monitoring of surcharge activities for the site improvement areas, and monitoring the installation of piles for support of the structures.

Renaissance at Manchester Residential Development

MTA has performed geotechnical investigations and provided on-site soils engineering services during the earthwork and foundation construction activities for the Renaissance at Manchester residential development located in Manchester Township, Ocean County, New Jersey. The development, which is being constructed by Centex Homes, LLC consists of an active adult community, with approximately 2,000 building lots. The development includes a 25,000 square foot club house/recreational facility as well as an 18-hole golf course in a residential setting. MTA’s services initially commenced in 1995, with construction beginning shortly thereafter and continuing to the present. The development was constructed in an area which previously contained a sand and gravel mining operation and, as such, extensive remedial activities were required to remove unsuitable materials and install significant thicknesses of controlled compacted fill to reach the final grades throughout the development areas.
